Charter Locations
Currently, for the 2023 season, we primarily do charters around Lake Superior's North Shore area and Apostle Islands.

Classes:
We will do classes on all packages as the situation allows. Open Water Certification will be only on North Shore Weekends. Please let us know what classes you would like to complete and we will assist you in getting the proper weekend and package.

Rental:
Sol Mates has a full rental gear set available for the weekend for only $125. This includes BCD, Regulators, 7mm exposure suits, Gloves, Boots, Hoods, Fins, Masks, and a Dive computer. Please reach out ahead of time to ensure we have the necessary equipment.

We will take scuba divers for just one day if there is space.
We will take non-divers on board at a discounted rate.

Cancellation policy:
All trips are weather-dependent. If a trip is booked for somewhere other than the North Shore and the weather will not allow us to go but we can dive the North Shore we will do that and refund the difference.
​
$100 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot. Until the deposit is received, your spot is not confirmed. The balance is due on the day of the charter.
No refunds unless we are completely weathered out. That means we can not leave the marina for the entire weekend. We will make the call on Friday afternoon and if we decide we won't be able to dive, we will provide a 100% refund or a spot on a future charter.
If we believe we can dive on Sunday but we are still unable to leave the marina (we haven't dived at all), we will refund 50% of the trip. The reason for this is we will still provide meals as normal all weekend.

Note: All weekends will need to have a minimum of 4 people for the boat to leave for the weekend. Deposits will be refunded if there are not enough divers.
​
Deposits are not refundable if you cancel one week from your scheduled charter date.

North Shore Weekend - $515
Friday Night - Sunday Afternoon
​
This is our base package for scuba diving in Lake Superior. It consists of approximately 8 dives over the weekend. We will do one on Friday around 6 pm, 4 on Saturday, a night dive on Saturday after dinner, and 2 dives on Sunday.
Meals include dinner on Friday and Saturday and Breakfast and Lunch Saturday and Sunday. You will sleep on the boat Friday and Saturday at the marina.

Possible dive sites include the Madeira, the Hesper, Shovel Point, China Beach, Split Rock Light House, Guano Island, Black Sand Beach, Seagull Cove, and other sites we have identified between Guano Island and Shovel Point.

Apostle Islands, WI - $590
Friday Night - Sunday Afternoon
​
The Apostle Islands are located on the north side of WI about 2 hrs from the marina. This trip is a sightseeing trip as well as a diving trip. Most of the dives will be 50' or less. We will dive the Hesper Friday night, have dinner at the marina, and leave Saturday morning for the islands. Our first stop will be Devil's island to see the amazing sea caves and possibly dive them. We will then head to Outer Island and dive the Pretoria. There is also a lighthouse and more sea caves. On our way south we will pass by the large sand spit as we go to Stockton Island. The island offers more sea caves, the Norque Bay, and a wall and ledge to dive. We will most likely spend the night out on Apostle Island. Sunday we head to Sand Island cutting through the islands. Sand Island offers the Mary Corgan, sea caves, the Sevona,the MR Warner and on shore. We will probably be back at the marina around 4 PM. Itinerary and dives are weather dependant but we should get 1 dive Friday and 5-7ish dives Saturday and Sunday.

Possible dive sites include sea caves, the Pretoria, a wall and ledge, the Noque Bay, docks, the Sevona, and the Mary Cargan. Sites to see include sea caves, lighthouses, cliff jumping, large sand spit, abandoned quarry, and tons of islands.

Manitou Falls & North Shore - $560
Friday Night - Sunday Afternoon
​
Manitou Falls is north of the marina and is the only waterfall that goes directly into Lake Superior. The plan is to do 2 dives on the way to the falls and then do lunch and hang out at the waterfall. Dives on Saturday afternoon will depend on how long we spend at the waterfall. The night dive or an afternoon dive on Saturday may be canceled due to time constraints. Therefore, this trip consists of approximately 7 dives. We will do one on Friday around 6 pm, 4 dives on Saturday including a night dive after dinner. On Sunday, we will do 2 dives. All meals from Dinner Friday night until Lunch Sunday Afternoon will be included. You will sleep on the boat Friday and Saturday docked at the marina.

Possible dive sites include the Madeira, the Hesper, Shovel Point, Split Rock Light House, Black Sand Beach, Seagull Cove, and other sites we have identified between the lighthouse and Manitou Falls.

Two Harbors & North Shore - $560
Friday Night - Sunday Afternoon

This is a scuba trip down to Two Harbors. We dive on our way down to Two Harbors and then stay on the break wall Saturday night. From the break-wall, it is a short walk into town. We will dive Friday around 6 pm, dive on the way down to Two Harbors, dive the Ely, then dive on the way back to the marina on Sunday. Plan on being back at the marina around 2 pm (no promises). Meals include dinner Friday and Saturday and Breakfast and Lunch Saturday and Sunday. You will sleep on the boat Friday and Saturday at Two Harbors break-wall.

You can pay your deposit by using PayPal (3.1% paypal fee) or by sending in a check. Please contact us to get the address of where to send the check into.
